Threaded Fasteners, Inc. “Restores” Hope
Catholic Social Services would like to express our immense gratitude to Threaded Fasteners, Inc. for sponsoring much needed repairs to a client’s home. The home of the client, a retired veteran, was in such disrepair that the dirt beneath the home was visible through massive holes in the floor. The wonderful people at Threaded Fasteners stepped up to the challenge and sponsored the necessary renovations in the kitchen and bathroom. Without the support of organizations like Threaded Fasteners in our community, we would not be able to do the work that we do. You’ve done much more than restore someone’s home, you’ve restored their hope. Thank you.
Extended Family for Kids
Catholic Social Services is offering a new opportunity to the youth in your community. Extended Family for Kids is a solution-based program for children ages 6-17 who have an incarcerated parent or family member. The purpose of the program is to give children the necessary tools to cope with this time in their lives.
Extended Family for Kids includes lessons on anger resolution, accepting responsibility for personal actions, and improving communication skills. It also includes building self-esteem, easing feelings of shame and isolation and decreasing stress. The program is geared toward children who have a family member incarcerated in local, state, or federal institutions.
If you know of a child in your parish/school/community that would benefit from this program, please contact Buffy Marston, LPC at 251-434-1550 for additional information.

St. Dominic Food Drive
Catholic Social Services would love to send a HUGE Thank You to the members of St. Dominic parish for the massive food drive they organized to benefit families needing emergency food assistance not only for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but every day. This year, our food pantry and the food pantries of many families will be full thanks to your generosity. God bless all of you!
Thank You Spring Hill Baseball and Softball
The Spring Hill College Baseball and Softball teams collected over a thousand cans to benefit the Catholic Social Services food pantry. This is a remarkable gift, and just in time for the holiday season when food supplies for needy families are in high demand. Thanks to their generosity, many more families will have food on their tables this fall.
